So, you may recall a few weeks ago reports at Deadline that Alice Eve was being lined up to play Emma Frost in X:Men – First Class for director Matthew Vaughn.
Then a few days ago came the news that January Jones had landed the role. So, with Deadline being so certain, what happened?
Well, ComicBookMovie reports that Eve requested to be released from her X-Men role, as she was unhappy with changes being made to the script.
However, word has it that she may still bag a role in the Marvel universe, with Fox looking to use her as the new Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in there Fantastic Four reboot.
In addition, there’s also the possibility that Marvel Studios will also nab Eve for a supporting villain role – possibly The Enchantress from the Thor comics – in The Avengers.
If Eve is regretting dropping out of First Class, I have a feeling it won’t be for long…
