It’s been a busy few days here, so here’s a slightly belated round-up of some recent news that you may have missed.
Ghost Rider 2
Romanian new site Hotnews has reported that Ghost Rider: Spirit of vengeance will film in Romania later this year. They also state that this will be the first 3D film to shoot in the country.
Fantastic Four reboot
Lots of news coming out of 20th Century Fox. First up, Screenrant has a few tasty nuggets, starting with the news that Fox are waiting to see how X-Men: First Class does at the box office next summer before giving the official green-light to this flick. An understandable position to take I guess.
Next, they have reported that Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are in the running for the role of team leader Reed Richards, aka Mr Fantastic, while Alice Eve and Amber Heard are on the shortlist for Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman). The site also reports that The Thing will be CGI creation this time round.
Speaking of The Thing, ComicBookMovie reports that Fox want Bruce Willis to play Ben Grimm during the opening sequence of the film, that will show the group’s origins, and then voice the CGI Thing for the rest of the flick.
They also report that Fox have a shortlist of 3 directors to take the reigns of the film – Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin’s Aces), David Yates (Harry Potter 5,6, and 7) and James McTeige (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin).
Finally, ComicBookMovie also reports that True Blood actor Stephen Moyer is in the running for the role of villain Dr Doom.
