Marvel Studios is heading north during the UK filming of Captain America: The First Avenger.
The BBC reports that the production has chosen Manchester’s Northern Quarter and Liverpool’s Stanley Dock.
While the details of the Stanley Dock shoot are unconfirmed, the Northern Quarter will double for 1940s New York for a car chase.
Filming will take place in mid-September, and we have spies in the area, so rest assured we’ll do our best to bring you some exclusive photos from the set.
Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston, and stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Sebastian Stan as sidekick Bucky Barnes, Hugo Weaving as villain The Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as General Chester Phillips, Stanley Tucci as Dr. Abraham Erskine, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan and Toby Jones as Arnim Zola.
