Just days after Matthew Vaughn accepted directing duties on the the new X film, his Stardust and Kick-Ass colaborator Jane Goldman has jumped onboard to polish the script.
She is joining Thor co-writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who are already carrying some work on the project.
According to Goldman’s husband, UK TV presenter Jonathan Ross, in a couple of recent tweets:
“[Goldman] is away writing X Men 4 so I am off to bed with little Sweeney alone…
Also, for those who need to know, my wife IS currently writing X men First Class. It’s just referred to as X men 4 around the house… “
This is encouraging news. If Vaughn is being allowed to bring on his trusted film making partner, then it looks as though he will get the kind of artisitic freedom that both he and the project need.
