Following recent rumours, Tommy Lee Jones’s involvement in Captain America has been confirmed by fellow cast member Hayley Atwell.
Atwell, who will be playing love interest Peggy Carter, let the news slip in an interview with Leicester Square TV, which you can see below, at around the 2m 20s point.
It’s thought that Jones will be playing General Chester Phillips, the man responsible for recruiting Steve Rogers into the Super Soldier project.
Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston, and stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Sebastian Stan as sidekick Bucky Barnes, Hugo Weaving as villain The Red Skull, and Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter.
