The latest issue of Empire magazine (#252) has scored an exclusive interview with Captain America himself, Chris Evans.
You’ll be able to read it soon when the latest issue hits the streets, but highlights include Evans’ deliberation before accepting the role:
“It was a couple of weeks of weighing up the options… There was certainly a period where I was shying away from the movie. It’s intimidating. It’s pretty daunting. There’s certainly a life-changing role there and that was part of the process… But you know what? This could be a good thing.”
And he also addresses the fact he has already played comic book characters (as Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim Saves The World):

“I think if you had played a doctor in a movie seven years ago, does that mean you’re never going to play a doctor again?”
It’s a great article, and Evans comes across as humble and appreciative of the scale of the role.
Look out for Empire #252 on the news stands very soon, or check out their website, where they’re sure to have an excerpt soon.
